Mrs. Doubtfire
One of my favorite Robin Williams films is Mrs. Doubtfire. Even after all these years, it is still funny. The movie premiered in 1993 and starred Sally Fields (Miranda) as the mother and Robin Williams (Daniel) as the father. The two don’t see eye to eye and end up getting a divorce. After some mishaps, Daniel is denied the right to see his kids, so he comes up with a crazy way to keep in contact – he becomes the nanny for Miranda. The kids love seeing their dad (even though he has to dress like an old women) and Miranda finally realizes that the kids need to be involved with their dad too.
One of my favorite scenes is when Daniel uses a cake as face cream, since he does not have his makeup disguise on and someone comes to the door. You can see part of that scene in the clips below. Pierce Bronson appears in the film as Miranda’s new love interest and Harvey Fierstein appears as Daniel’s brother.
