The Net (1995) was a movie starring Sandra Bullock as Angela Bennett, a software engineer who works out of her home and has little interaction with family or friends. Bennett gets embroiled in computer espionage and has her life stolen – her credit cards, identity and bank accounts are gone. Too bad she didn’t enroll in some sort of identity theft protection!

The movie is actually fairly entertaining and yet frustrating. It is hard to believe that someone could delete ALL of your personal information. Of course in the end the bad guys are caught and Bennett gets her life back.
