Movie Review - Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows (1968)
This movie is one of my favorites from the 1960s. My sister and I would watch it every time it came on television. The plot involves the St. Francis Academy For Girls trip to a California for a religious youth group rally. Mother Superior (Rosalind Russell) an old-school nun has her hands full with a group of teen girls and a progress nun, Sister George (Stella Stevens). They run into all sorts of adventures on their cross country trip and some are quite funny. My favorite character is the bus driving nun played by Mary Wickes. Other stars include Van Johnson as Father Chase, Robert Taylor as millionaire Mr. Farraday and Milton Berle as a movie director.
In the end, the school and the nuns go through a transformation. They don’t start wearing Robert Allen fabrics, but their habits become much trendier!
It is truly a silly movie, but I enjoy every minute of it!
