Were sick of the Munster reruns on cable tv. He was nothing then and surely will never become popular. He wasn't real popular then and even less now. Back in the 60's people like him were a dime a dozen. That's why no famous or talented actors took the role. Talented actors have allways cost big bucks. Apparently no talented or star actors wanted to lower themselves to play a stupid character on a TV series for fear of not getting anymore offers as in his case.
